Peter C. D'Antonio, PE, CEM, LEED AP, an authority on building energy efficiency, is the newest member of HPAC Engineering's Editorial Advisory Board.
D'Antonio is president of Longmont, Colo.-based PCD Engineering Services Inc. (http://pcdengineering.com/), an award-winning provider of building energy analysis, mechanical/electrical design, and commissioning. His firm has contributed to more than 25 LEED projects and more than 200 Energy Star projects.
In 2001, D'Antonio received gold-level recognition from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for contributions to the Energy Star program. In 2006, he was named Colorado Energy Champion for his commitment to energy efficiency in government buildings and service to the Colorado Governor's Energy Office. Over the years, he has received numerous awards from the Colorado Renewable Energy Society for his application of renewable energy in commercial and residential buildings.
Prior to founding PCD Engineering Services, D'Antonio served as senior project manager for EUA Cogenex, a national energy-services company. While with EUA Cogenex, he played an integral role in the development and implementation of more than $30 million in business.
D'Antonio served on the boards of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Association of Energy Engineers and as director of advocacy for the USGBC and is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Technical Committee 7.6, Systems Energy Utilization.
D'Antonio holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of Maryland and the University of Colorado.
