The president of Acker & Associates in Green Bay, Wis., William G. Acker is an expert on energy analysis, air emissions, and water-vapor transmission and condensation. For HPAC Engineering he wrote the first article to illustrate the total costs of producing and transmitting electricity. He joined the Board in 1999.

William P. Bahnfleth, PhD, PE
William P. Bahnfleth, PhD, PE, is a professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering and Director of the Indoor Environment Center at Penn State University. He has experience as a consultant for district energy systems. He has specialized in the design and operation of chilled-water thermal-storage systems for more than two decades and has consulted on numerous projects. He has conducted research on chilled-water systems, stratified chilled-water storage, and indoor-air quality. He is a fellow of ASHRAE and ASME and was ASHRAE President in 2013-2014. He joined the Board in 1997.

David W. Bearg, PE
Bearg is an environmental health scientist with Life Energy Associates, located in Concord, MA, a position he's held for more than 33 years. His expertise is focused on creating healthy indoor envronments while saving energy at the same time, and working to inprove operational performance for both ventilation and moisture management. Bearg has written a number of books and papers – including one entitled, "Indoor Air Quality and HVAC Systems," as well as the white paper, "Achieving and Maintaining Healthy Green Buildings."

Don Beaty, PE, FASHRAE
The founder and president of DLB Associates in Eatontown, NJ, provider of program-management, architectural/engineering, and construction-management services, Beaty chaired American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Technical Committee (TC) 9.9, Mission Critical Facilities, Technology Spaces and Electronic Equipment, from its inception until June 2006. Currently the publications chair of TC 9.9, he has presented on data-center topics in more than 20 countries and published more than 50 technical papers and articles. Asif Kadiani, PE, CEM, is a senior mechanical engineer for Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Springfield, Ill. Lentz is president of Lentz Engineering Associates of Sheboygan Falls, WI. Gary Wamsley, PE, CEM
Wamsley is an engineering consultant with expertise in industrial energy management and plant-utility-system optimization. As president of JoGar Energy Services, Wamsley, who has 40 years of plant-operation and management experience in the tire, aerospace, and paper industries, specializes in on-site utility-system reviews for commercial and industrial clients. Also, he conducts boiler-operation inspections, performs ASME boiler-efficiency testing, and provides specialized training related to HVAC, energy management, and boiler, pump, compressed-air, and water systems. Ron Wilkinson, PE, LEED AP, is a nationally published author and speaker on building quality assurance. He is on the Editorial Advisory Board of HPAC Engineering magazine, is an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer, and an AIA Continuing Education Lecturer. He wrote the U. S. Green Building Council's first training program for LEED commissioning, and was co-editor of the 2003 National Association of State Facilities Administrators' "Building Commissioning Recommended Guidelines,"and author of Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance's "Best Practices in Commissioning in Montana."
