Gary W. Wamsley, PE, CEM, an engineering consultant with expertise in industrial energy management and plant-utility-system optimization, is the newest member of HPAC Engineering's Editorial Advisory Board.
As president of Alpharetta, Ga.-based JoGar Energy Services (www.jogarenergy.com), Wamsley, who has 40 years of plant-operation and management experience in the tire, aerospace, and paper industries, specializes in on-site utility-system reviews for commercial and industrial clients. Also, he conducts boiler-operation inspections, performs ASME boiler-efficiency testing, and provides specialized training related to HVAC, energy management, and boiler, pump, compressed-air, and water systems. His industrial-boiler-system experience ranges from small fire-tube units to 1,500-psig coal-fired cogeneration plants.
Recently, Wamsley served as a technical consultant for a Fortune 100 company, coordinating its corporate energy program, conducting plant energy reviews, optimizing boiler plants, performing process-equipment utility evaluations, implementing energy projects, and conducting technical training.
As engineering technical leader for Kimberly-Clark Corp. from 1988 to 2006, Wamsley provided staff support in all phases of plant utility operations, utility-project support, and energy-management oversight and process-systems optimization at more than 120 facilities worldwide.
Wamsley has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University and is a member of ASME, the American Institute of Plant Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Association of Energy Engineers.
