The ASHRAE Global Training Center is offering eight online courses, including two new courses, in its 2020 Summer/Fall series, running from August through December.
The new course, "High Performance Health Care Facilities Design Complying with ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 170-2017 (MENA)," is a two-part course taking place Aug. 24-25. It addresses the role of HVAC systems in helping to reduce hospital-associated infections, explaining airborne vs. contact transmission.
"Designing & Operating Data Centers for the Internet of Everything: Mitigating Risk & Optimizing Performance" also is a two-part course, taking place Nov. 16 and 19. It examines data center best practices by focusing on ASHRAE’s evolving thermal guidelines for data processing environments, telecommunications and actual high-density data centers in operation today.
Individual courses are offered at a discounted fee of $139 ($125 for ASHRAE members). Attendees can register for the entire training series for $599 ($499 for ASHRAE members).

- Nov. 16 & 19: Designing & Operating Data Centers for the Internet of Everything: Mitigating Risk &Optimizing Performance
- Dec. 9 & 10: Commissioning Process in New & Existing Buildings (MENA)
