Earlier this fall, our editor-in-chief Rob McManamy attended the first-ever ASHRAE Women in Leadership Symposium in Chicago. Earlier this month, the U.S. electorate narrowly chose not to put the first-ever woman in leadership of our federal government.
Yet even while that glass ceiling remains intact, more women nevertheless are still being urged to take leadership roles across our industry. Here is our recap of the extraordinary launch of this new ASHRAE subset. Observed McManamy, "This was not just a meeting. It was a movement... And to be honest, as both a reporter and the father of a daughter in her 20s, I was thrilled to be a witness to this moment in industry history."
