Energy-recovery ventilators
Model ERCH and Model VER energy-recovery ventilators now feature digital scroll compressors for improved temperature and humidity control and decreased energy consumption. The compressors feature an integral controller with a time-averaging sequence. The rate at which the scrolls are engaged and disengaged varies to match required cooling capacity. Using digital scrolls for capacity control provides leaving-air temperatures as precise as 1˚F. Additionally, digital scrolls offer cooling-capacity turndowns from 10 to 100 percent.

Humidity-control units
For use in structural drying, temporary humidity control in building construction, and condensation and corrosion control, Humidity Control Unit 8,000 (HCU-8,000) combines cooling and desiccant-dehumidification technologies in one system. Capable of delivering dew points as low as 40˚F, the unit controls dew-point temperatures in hot, humid climates. Features include a built-in digital controller and remote-monitoring capabilities.

Motorized panel fans
Suited for applications in which space is limited, AMP Motorized Panel Fans feature a unique motor and impeller coupling that minimizes space requirements and limits vibration. The motor and impeller are located directly in the air stream, in which the impeller acts as a rotating "heat sink." Near-zero speeds can be achieved using solid-state speed controls. With capacities from 300 to 1,700 cfm, the fans are available in open-blade or ring designs.

Hybrid ventilation units
Reznor Z Series hybrid ventilation units integrate an energy-recovery wheel into a dedicated heat-pump system for precise ventilation and temperature control. The units can recover more than 80 percent of exhaust-air energy year-round. In cooling mode, the units' energy-efficiency ratio is greater than 17. In heating mode, the units’ coefficient of performance is greater than 10.

Airflow-containment systems
Proline airflow-containment systems are designed to segregate cold (intake) and hot (exhaust) air. Consisting of aisle doors, ceiling panels, and chimney stacks, the containment systems can be used for hot- or cold-air containment, preventing mixing that can lead to poor cooling and wasted energy. By increasing cooling efficiency, the systems manage a higher thermal density without requiring additional cooling units. Available for use with raised or non-raised floors in small to large data centers, the containment systems accommodate 36- and 48-in. aisle ways.

Condensing units
Celseon fractional-horsepower indoor air-cooled condensing units now include R-12 refrigerant compatibility. Six R-12-compatible models complement Tecumseh’s existing lines of Celseon R-134a, R-404A, and R-22 condensing units. The units’ modular construction is built around a common base plate that accommodates an assortment of Tecumseh AE compressor models and standardized components. Options include service valves and liquid-line receivers. Simplified fastening methods reduce assembly time.
