Following the death of President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Clark, PE, P.Eng., in a May 24 motor-vehicle accident (http://bit.ly/Steve_Clark) and the June 1 retirement of Executive Vice President of U.S. Sales Ed Eldredge, Aquatherm, North American distributor of German-made polypropylene pipe systems, recently announced a corporate restructuring.

Clark’s son Adam, who has held numerous positions, including director of marketing, with the company over the last several years, is the new president and chief operating officer, while David Chen, previously chief operating officer, is the new chief executive officer.

Clark, Chen, and Chief Financial Officer Jordan Hardy will constitute a board of managing directors.

Clark will oversee and expand marketing and training while also working on business information, after-sales support, and inside-sales support. Chen will continue to oversee the inventory and logistics divisions, including the warehouse and production facilities, and serve as the direct report for Aquatherm’s in-house sales team. Hardy will continue to manage distribution and all other financial concerns.

Eldredge will serve on a newly formed advisory board.

Other changes include Parr Young becoming vice president of marketing, Barry Campbell vice president of advertising and media relations, and John Grabarits vice president of eastern U.S. sales. Aquatherm’s structure in Canada is unchanged, with Don Schneider continuing to serve as executive vice president of Canadian sales.

Aquatherm expects to announce new hires in the near future.
