AHRI Names CEO

In what Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Chairman Ray Hoglund called a “natural progression,” President Stephen R. Yurek recently was promoted to the position of chief executive officer (CEO).

Yurek's new title is president and CEO.

Yurek joined the association in 2002 as vice president of policy and public affairs and general counsel. In 2006, he was promoted to the position of chief operating officer. A year later, he was promoted to president.

Prior to joining the association, Yurek served as vice president of business development and public affairs for CompassLearning Inc. and, prior to that, general counsel and chief operating officer of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Yurek holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a juris-doctor degree.
