Article Tools

Danfoss, manufacturer of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and motion systems, recently introduced a free application allowing users to convert refrigerant pressure to temperature instantly on their mobile devices.

Available for Android and Apple iOS devices, KoolApp allows users to enter exact figures or use a slide ruler to obtain precise, accurate conversions based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) refrigerant properties and Antoine equations.

KoolApp works for 48 refrigerants, including R-744, R-290, and R-32. Users can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit and bar and psi. Data provided include global-warming potential, ozone-depletion potential, critical temperature, and boiling point.
