What do a governor, an aquarium, government housing agencies, a public school, and a global technology company have in common?

All are leaders in energy efficiency.

Deval Patrick, governor of Massachusetts, will receive the 2009 Charles H. Percy Award for Public Service from the Alliance to Save Energy Sept. 17 in Washington, D.C., while the following will receive Star of Energy Efficiency Awards:

• The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

• Aquarium of the Pacific.

• The Warren County (Ky.) Public School System.

• The National Housing Commission and the National Fund for Housing, Mexico.

• 3M Co.

The awards will be presented during the Alliance's 17th annual Evening with the Stars of Energy Efficiency awards dinner at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. To attend, contact Marcy Devaney at 202-530-4351 or mdevaney@ase.org. To learn more about the award recipients, visit http://ase.org/section/_audience/events1/dinner1?tr=y&auid=4964114.
