Pottorff Introduces Miami-Dade-Certified Wind-Driven Louver

ECV-645-MD is Air Movement and Control Association-rated for air performance and wind-driven rain and is Florida Building Code-approved.

Pottorff recently announced the addition of ECV-645-MD, a 6-in.-deep vertical-blade louver, to its line of Miami-Dade-approved products.

​ECV-645-MD is Air Movement and Control Association-rated for air performance and wind-driven rain and is Florida Building Code-approved. Also, it has been tested in accordance with ANSI/AMCA Standard 540, Test Method for Louvers Impacted by Wind Borne Debris, and ANSI/AMCA Standard 550, Test Method for High Velocity Wind Driven Rain Resistant Louvers.

ECV-645-MD is engineered and tested to withstand extreme loads, debris impact, and cyclic fatigue associated with the severe-weather effects of hurricanes and has a free area of 46 percent. It offers a best-in-class optional anchorless installation utilizing specially designed flanged clips and retaining angles. This unique combination allows quick and easy attachment to any substrate without the use of expensive and time-consuming mechanical anchors.
