Available on low-profile, low-velocity, and center-mount unit coolers, energy-efficient EC motors are up to 85-percent efficient, with test data showing a 51- to 60-percent increase over shaded-pole motors and a 30- to 40-percent increase over permanent split-capacitor motors.
