AMCA International Seeks AMCA Standard 500-D Committee Members

Dec. 21, 2016
Committee members will participate in the drafting, review, and resolution of any and all comments. Most—possibly all—meetings will be by conference call.

Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. recently announced it is seeking technical-committee members for the revision of AMCA Standard 550-D, Laboratory Methods of Testing Dampers for Rating.

AMCA Standard 500-D covers the performance testing of dampers. The standard establishes uniform laboratory test methods for dampers. The characteristics to be determined include, as appropriate, air leakage, pressure drop, dynamic closure, and operational torque.

Committee members will be expected to participate in the drafting, review, and resolution of any and all comments on the standard until the revised standard is approved by the membership. Most—possibly all—meetings will be by conference call via GoToMeeting.

For more information regarding the publication or to volunteer for the committee, contact Erin Moore at [email protected] or +1 (847) 704-6285 by Jan. 7, 2016.
