A Good Time to Register for EGB

June 1, 2008
In case you don't know, the fifth annual Engineering Green Buildings (EGB) Conference and Expo and first-ever Commissioning Green Buildings (CxGB) Conference

In case you don't know, the fifth annual Engineering Green Buildings (EGB) Conference and Expo and first-ever Commissioning Green Buildings (CxGB) Conference and Expo will be held Oct. 21 and 22 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Because these events are about four months away, it may seem as if you have a lot of time to plan to attend. However, it's not much time at all when everyone is busy making a living, raising a family, and trying to find a few moments to relax and enjoy the summer.

Therefore, let me encourage you to register for EGB and CxGB now. Better yet, allow me to give you several excellent reasons to register right away, rather than waiting until later or not registering at all.

First, the green-building market is growing about as fast as, well, the cost of energy. The estimated value of non-residential green-building construction for 2008 is pegged at $21 billion. That amount is projected to triple over the next three years.

If you're involved in green- or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design- (LEED-) building projects, EGB and CxGB will help you increase the scope of your technical knowledge. If you're contemplating getting involved in green projects, the conferences can help you get a jump-start on the latest technology and enable you to network with those who are experienced with it.

As the conference manager, I've made it my mission to deliver the best program possible, one featuring the brightest speakers in the industry. They will share their expertise on the latest mechanical-system technology and engineering and how they create green and sustainable buildings.

I'm thrilled to remind you that our keynote speaker, Jerry Yudelson, PE, LEED AP, is one of the foremost authorities on green buildings. He will share his knowledge on European green-building design and what we can learn from it. To learn about the other powerhouse speakers lined up for EGB and CxGB and the topics they will discuss, please visit www.egbconference.com and www.cgbconference.com.

By registering before Aug. 1, you can save $150 off the regular registration fee of $749 and get a free copy of Yudelson's book, “The Green Building Revolution.” Register now to save money attending the only conferences dedicated to green-building mechanical-system design and engineering and green-building commissioning. See you there!
