Online Course Helps Build Energy Savings into School Designs
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), through its EnergySmart Schools program, is offering a no-cost, 2-hour, Web-based training course that helps building professionals implement the recommendations in the Advanced Energy Design Guide for K-12 School Buildings. Members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) who complete the course and pass the quiz can earn 2.0 AIA/Continuing Education System learning units with credits for health, safety, and welfare as well as sustainable design. The Engineering Green Buildings Conference & Expo, along with HVAC Comfortech and the new Commercial HVACR Symposium, have joined together to create the 1st annual HVACR Week, which will be held September 21-26 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

This new mega-event will cover the gamut of the HVACR industry under one roof: from design to installation to maintenance and service.

HVACR Week 2009 brings together three events to create a single, comprehensive industry expo.
