Rheem Names President, CEO

Rheem Manufacturing Co., the Atlanta-based manufacturer of water heaters, central warm-air furnaces and air conditioners, and swimming-pool heaters and commercial boilers, recently announced the appointment of J.R. Jones to president and chief executive officer.

Jones succeeded I. Stewart Farwell, who was named a special advisor to the company for the remainder of 2008.

Jones, who began his career with Rheem as a project engineer in 1983, previously served as corporate senior vice president and chief operating officer.
