The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers' (ASHRAE's) new certification program, High-Performance Building Design Professional

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers' (ASHRAE's) new certification program, High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP), will launch this summer. ASHRAE developed the HBDP program in collaboration with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Green Building Initiative (GBI). Candidates who earn the HBDP certification will have demonstrated an understanding and knowledge of how HVACR design is integrated into high-performance buildings to achieve the overall goal of producing a sustainable HVACR design. The first exam will take place June 25 during ASHRAE's 2008 Annual Meeting, which will be held June 21-25 in Salt Lake City. Exams at testing centers around the world will become available in the fall... http://www.ashrae.org/education/page/1530
