AMCA International Elects Officers and Directors

Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International elected officers and directors during its 56th annual meeting in Kauai, Hawaii, Oct. 21.

Victor C. Colwell, vice president of sales and marketing for Loren Cook Co., was elected president for 2011-2013.

Colwell has been involved with AMCA International since 1993, having served on the board of directors, marketing committee, audit committee, nominating committee, investment task force, and executive board. As president, he promises to focus on increasing the acceptance of AMCA International standards in Asia and Europe and improving the association’s relevance in North America. Other areas of focus will be developing AMCA International’s University Awareness Program and promoting the association’s Fan Efficiency Grading program and how to leverage AMCA International in a down world economy.

Outgoing president Michael Barry, president of Twin City Fan Companies Ltd., was inaugurated as chairman of the board.

Geoff Sheard, vice president of fan technology for Fläkt Woods, was elected treasurer, while Patrick A. Cockrum, president of Pottorff, was elected secretary and Tim Kilgore, president of the Air Control Products Division of Greenheck Fan Corp., was elected director at large.

Elected to the board of directors were Roberto Arias Alvarez of Zitrón, John Magill of Howden North America, and Bek Siew Hup of Azen Manufacturing.
