  • Building Automation: AEC Design Group for ArtrA BIM asset management.

  • Cooling: Danfoss Inc. for Apexx VSH series variable-speed scroll compressors.

  • Green Building: Ice Energy for the Ice Bear 30 hybrid air conditioner.

  • Heating: Unitary Products Division of Johnson Controls for the York Affinity modulating gas furnace.

  • Indoor Air Quality: Rotronic for the HygroClip2 humidity and temperature probe.

  • Refrigeration: Danfoss Inc. for the AKD 102 ADAP-KOOL drive.

  • Software: Mc4 Software for Mc4 Suite.

  • Tools & Instruments: UEi for the Smart Bell combustion meter.

  • Ventilation: Twin City Fan Companies Ltd. for the Aero Acoustic Diffuser.

Award recipients will be honored Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. in New Product Technology Theater A, located in the South Hall of McCormick Place in Chicago, site of the 2009 AHR Expo.

A panel consisting of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers members judged product entries based on design innovation, application, value to end users, and market impact.
