NATIONAL BOILER ASSOCIATION ENDORSES GREEN BUILDINGS CONFERENCE

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) announces today that it has become an endorsing association of the Engineering Green Buildings Conference & Expo (EGB) slated for October 21-22, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. In making the announcement, ABMA President/CEO Randy Rawson went on to "… encourage all ABMA manufacturer and supplier member companies involved in the commercial, institutional, and governmental building sectors to take advantage of this great marketing opportunity."

"Commercial, institutional and industrial boiler manufacturers are aggressively pursuing markets in the renewable energy sectors," Rawson noted, "And don't let anyone kid you: today's conventional and condensing boiler and burner technologies offer superior and low-cost performance in the "green" generation of comfort heating and steam."

The Engineering Green Buildings Conference & Expo, produced and managed by ABMA-Member HPAC Engineering magazine, is the only networking and educational event dedicated to green mechanical systems design, technology and applications in the non-residential building sector.

"The boiler systems designed and fabricated by ABMA member companies can burn virtually anything to create steam and hot water for myriad purposes," Rawson said. "The energy generated by boilers is still the most efficient method of heat transfer for many if not most applications, and when you can use alternative, renewable, or so-called opportunity fuels to produce it, that's all the better."

"The member companies of ABMA have the state-of-the-art technology and the skills to make a singular difference in one of today's most delicate balancing acts – energy generation … economic growth … environmental deference. Ours is a powerful story of comfort, efficiency, cost-effective durability, sustainability, and reliability, and there is no better venue than EGB to use to share that story with our engineer, designer, specifier and buildings professional partners," Rawson concluded.

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is the national nonprofit trade association of commercial, institutional, industrial, heat recovery, and electricity-generating boiler and combustion equipment manufacturers and their suppliers headquartered in Vienna, Virginia. It is a member of and works on behalf of its member companies within the American Council of Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the U. S. Green Buildings Council (USGBC), as well as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
